AANAPISI Initiative
In 2010, UIC became the first Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) in the Midwest. Since then, the AANAPISI Initiative has been instrumental in supporting Asian American and Pacific Islander students at a regional and national level, and establishing various units at UIC, including the Asian American Student Academic Program.
