Textbook Library

[UPDATE] Due to shifts in funding, the Textbook Library is now permanently closed for additional textbook order requests. However, we will update this page as hard-copy textbooks are returned from students and become available for others to borrow. Thank you for your patience.

From Fall 2024 to Fall 2025, AASAP's Textbook Library procured a limited number of qualified textbooks to undergraduate students who requested financial support accessing reading materials for class.

While the Textbook Library has permanently closed to additional requests to purchase textbooks, students are welcome to reach out should they want to borrow a hard-copy textbook AASAP currently houses.

We have the following textbooks available to borrow:

  • Community Psychology (ISBN: 1433830590)
  • Contemporary Abstract Algebra (ISBN: 9780367651787)

Q&A

Q: Do I need to prove that I cannot access the textbook for my class?

A: No.

Q: How long can I keep my textbook?

A: We ask that you return your textbook during the final week of each semester, and treat it gently as we are sharing resources.

Q: Why can’t I request a digital textbook?

A: Because the Textbook Library is meant to return books to AASAP at the end of each usage for future borrowers, we cannot accommodate a digital textbook at this time. If you have questions or would like to discuss this policy, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Q: Are there textbook requests you don’t accept?

A: Because we are a library, we prioritize requests for physical textbooks that can be returned to us at the end of the semester for future students to borrow. In that same spirit, we do not place orders for workbooks.

Q: Is there a limit of how many accepted textbooks one can request from the Textbook Library?

A: Due to limited funding, we can accept one textbook per student per semester.

Q: I have a textbook I no longer have a use for. Can I donate it to AASAP?

A: Of course! We are hoping to expand the Textbook Library as a long-term goal. You can drop off current, gently used textbooks at AASAP’s office in 2720 Student Services Building on Mondays-Fridays between 9 am and 5 pm.
